Now that I've completed fascia installation/painting (except for the small section at Monolith where I haven't decided quite what I'm going to do yet), backdrop seam finishing/painting, and lower-level LED lighting, I'm comfortable adding all three things to the list of reasons I'll never build another layout. Whatever person started the rumor that model railroading is "fun" obviously delegated these tasks out to someone else. That said, I'm happy with the way it all turned out.
There is a small corner of my layout that gets the sun through the window every morning, low in the skies this time of year. It backlights the mainline just below Devore, with the rails glistening in the sun. I took this shot this morning, of the early El Cap gliding along the left hand main toward Summit...this is what a 52" curve looks like in N scale...Otto K.

Very nice! How are you doing the stripe? It looks like paint, or very good decal workThis detail has consistently been the resistance point in my taking on this scheme, and I have a pile of stuff on the bench waiting for the painting roundtuit.
Test fitting 3D-printed rock sheds and tunnel portals. Very happy with this solution to my structures.
great stuff this week! I've been working on this factory-decorated Atlas N scale SP GP9 and added SP light packages to both ends as well as BLMA 15" drop grabs. I also finished installing a LokSound Select Micro decoder in it today with the EMD 16cyl 567BC (FT) sound file, which sounds great. The unit has functioning headlight and gyralight effects on both ends....
