Dave,I really love your work and follow it eagerly. Knowing that others look forward to watching your videos, and before too many others view it, I thought I should point out that at 1:22 in your video you name the location as "Brige 27A"
@Dave V,I know with the progress on the layout that you considered shutting this thread down. But, I just want to point out that posts like your last post are great! Although it's not about layout construction, it's very informative (and entertaining) to learn about the history of your motive power and rolling stock and to see your modeling. Keep it coming!DFF
TBH, there are a number of factors that keep me on the threshold of taking my ball and going home. The thread about the N Scale Magazine posts is a prime example. It's become more hostile. And yet for so many who post most frequently, their hobby isn't model railroading...their hobby is the Railwire.Even with my videos... This is misspelled, train's too fast, etc. Fine. But where are the other videos? Where's all the other work? There are a few dozen of us (like you) who contribute the lion's share of the actual model railroading here. Where's the "forum for modelers?" Oh yes, it's buried in product complaints and backseat moderation.Sorry, just how I'm feeling right now. But I can always make myself feel better by JFRT!
For schnitzengiggles:Great "old-time" video along with the earlier full length tour! When I was watching the other one it seemed pretty real, imagining if the scenery did go all the way to the right (ignoring the 1:1 room view). Your scenery and detail is impressive - everything looks just right and has a high amount of cohesion. I enjoyed watching this all come together over this thread. One of these days I hope to get mine up to the same amount of "Vollmerization... "
