Finally added fire barrels to Bridge 45A at Ophir.  Meanwhile 40 brings a stock extra down from Lizard Head with 41 (not visible) providing extra braking power from the rear.

For my planning purposes could you tell me how deep your Rico station is?  I'm trying to get a feel for the track spacing for the tracks that go around the station.

The depot itself is just the IHC kit.  It's 4 3/8" deep.

Thanks,  I've looked at the IHC kit online but wasn't able to find the dimensions of the footprint anywhere.  The RGS practice of running the main on one side of the depot and the siding on the other eats up a lot of room and I wanted to make sure I had enough.  As for the kit itself, it's about the only option currently, other than scratch building.  I haven't been able to find any manufacturer that is currently producing the Rico station kit and even if they were, I'd probably have to take a second on the house to buy one.

"Ragg's to Riches" did one...you may be able to find it, but upgrading the IHC kit with extra trim and shingles is an easy and inexpensive task.

Stunning scenery.  The photo backdrops are perfect, seemingly from every angle.

Next you'll have to shoot a similar trip, but cut away to different viewing angles as the train passes.  And, maybe fewer shots of the bald guy

Either that, or put on a yellow skier, and you know, rise in the east and set in the west...

Yeah I've seen the Raggs depot, but it's long out of production and there doesn't seem to be another run anytime soon.  I've done some searches and none of the original run seems to be available anywhere.  I intended to steal er uh borrow, yeah thats it, borrow  your method for both the Rico depot and the engine house.  I will, however, have a larger space for the Pro Patria mill so I won't be borrowing your method for that one.  I could fit the Banta model in the space I have but I'd have to sell a kidney to afford it.

The Raggs kit's expense and rarity really make it a non starter, but then again you never know.  Besides, I've really planed my layout as a "protolance", I think the term is, the RGS is really just my inspiration, my muse if you will, with a little tongue in cheek .  I don't have the room or the talent to really do it justice.  For instance I'm not doing Ophir, as I don't really have the space or the talent to compare to yours and others that have modeled it.  Instead I'm planning on the covered wye and livestock pens at Lizard Head, or in my case "Frog Butte" .  As to the detailed process you used on the IHC kit, I'd really appreciate that.
