Really nice. What I find really helpful is when the Tamiya Color ID is noted. Would like to know which white and which black numbers if possible. There are so many Tamiya colors available...
Thanks lads. The Tamiya white is Flat White XF-2 the Tamiya Panel line Accent Color is Just that. I found out about the Panel line paint through some military modelers. It really is good. I did not stir the bottle just used the top stuff so be very careful as the pigment settles and it can be very BLACK. You can obtain the same results using Black ink in a Iso mix. There are a few colours in the Accent paint scheme Brown and Dark Brown which I will use to add rust to the head of the bolts and general weathering when the out side is painted.I'm in the middle of another kit with similar treatment which I will post tomorrow. We are in for a huge rain storm here in Victoria today 100 to 250mm of rain over 2 days.I'm not going anywhere.Rod.
I’d say your scenic abilities are intact. Your weathering ethos seems to have flagged a bit on that loco
I know nothing about that loco, but guess like all old brass, the pick-ups suck. See if Blackstone tender trucks pick up power. And you can add wipers to the bottom plate/gear cover to get the other side of the drivers picking up as well.
