A new product for smoothing 3D printouts - will it work for FUD or FXD?

I just received Micro-Mark email and they are now stocking some sort of liquid coating for smoothing out 3D printouts.

I suspect it is some sort of epoxy or urethane resin.

I wonder if this stuff will work without obfuscating small details we often see in N-Scale  FUD and FXD printed items>

I don't know how well this will work, but I bet a bunch of people buy it hoping for a miracle.

Search the product number (XTC whatever) on Amazon and it's markedly less expensive.

Based on the reviews, it might not be effective.

I suspected that it might be an ideal solution.  As for Micro-Mark, many of their items are marked-up products available elsewhere. I guess that is the price of the convenience of having a wide range of hobby related items available form a single source.

Interesting . . . thanks Roland!  So it is an epoxy. Now I'm wondering if it would make good N scale water?

I could see this being useful for say On30 stuff . . . the applied thickness appears to be too much for N scale.  I also noticed in the video it appear sthe striations in the PLA are visible under the coating . . . but do vanish with sanding.  I would love to see it on FXD . . . .
