Been working on the plan for staging expansion now that 80% of the framing is done for the wall construction.
The large staging yard will return loop around a column and though a opening in the wall. I did this mainly to save space in the rest of the room and add some interesting benchwork.
2 new "Standard" 6' modules will be constructed one going in the bottom right to give the coal tipple the proper space for empties to be dropped and loaded then picked up.
The other new module will go in the top left and be used for an industrial switching area that will expand onto the new modules.
2 "unique" modules will be used to bridge the gap to the HCD staging yard and return loops. with running tracks for the mains, staging tracks and a reversing loop using the center of the yard.(Though I`m playing around with changing that)
Current status of the layout is covered in plastic. At some point I`ll have to move it out of the space to make room for the drywall to be installed and hung
This soffit was a bit of a pain but the net gain was almost a foot of room for the layout, which you can see by the plan was needed to expand the aisles.
I was able to get some work done on the layout before I switched to wall building.

@Ed Kapuscinski answering my call for wall sections to make a great industry with room for 4 40' boxes.
I also installed some rubber rock walls for my rock cut area.
My wife tried her hand at adding some grass to the small patch of houses.
