Did I?  Sh!t.  Well, Josh, you have dibs then, and if you want it I'll send it.

No no, I declined when you encouraged me to build the actual station in Gallitzin.

It’s all Cody’s!

I notice in your very nice track work and turnouts that you are using Printed circuit boards to join track. Are you using these in lieu of track joiners and are they easy to use.
I'm thinking of applying the same to my new yet to be started HOn3 layout.
Thanks Rod.

The PCBs are only being used for the turnouts to keep everything in gauge. I still use track joiners for all joints. The PCBs at the modules ends are so I can take it apart and then put it back together and have it all line up.

But yes they are easy to use, just do one rail first then move along with your gauge and solder the other rail. Gauges are your best friend when it come sto handlaying.

No no, I declined when you encouraged me to build the actual station in Gallitzin.

It’s all Cody’s!

Thanks Josh! Build that station! Better modeling though peer pressure! :ashat:

@Dave V does this mean you found it?  :D

Found it.  Turns out it’s intact!  It was my other Pella depot kit that I made to look like the Apex, NC depot that was damaged.

There’s some evidence of the former platform detail that I removed...but that should be easy to clean up.  It’s yours.

Wow I've done a bad job of updating this!

So I had most of my buildings in place and was going to start scenery work. Then we found a house so I had to pack everything back up. Hopefully in the next 3 weeks I'll have it all back together.

Spent about 20 mins tonight making the layout go from this:

To this:

Previously I've placed ties in all the empty voids.

I've done some switching on it.

Still need to do some venting for the airbrush

This summer I'll work on framing and drywalling the area around the layout

Plenty of room there!

My layout space(524.8) is almost as big as your basement (888 Sq Ft)
My Main area is 36.6'X13' with a 7'X7' Square at the bottom left

My whole basement is 1440 Sq Ft, think I need to take a bit more of that now....

Installed 3 more switches so far this weekend
[ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

A shortage of joiners caused a pause but I'm full steam ahead now

At this point I only have 2 switches left to install. One still has to be built though.

After this I can focus on painting the rails and then getting all the buildings in place. I also need to find some solid masonite to install the fascia.
