SoSerious questionIf you’re doing the middle division Why are you using a non-pennsy station?Just asking Could be time to Scratch It Out
Yes it's inspired by the middle division. I think it could be time to scratch it out, I need to find a prototype now instead of being lazy.
Agreed. I think one big sweeper will be FAR better scenically than a bunch of "wiggles".
If you don't want to completely scratchbuild a structure, one solution is to modify the Walthers Pella depot kit as described here:http://cs.trains.com/mrr/f/88/t/121464.aspxOr, as suggested at the end of that article, there's some resemblance between the Walthers Santa Fe-Style brick depot kit and the depot at Mifflin:
Thanks for the links! I kinda like the idea of modifying the Walters kit. @Dave V did your modified station get sold with the JD? I know this was replaced later on with an accurate model of Lewiston.
I like this idea as well.... close enough could be good enough for your Side Chick...
Unfortunately my Pella depot was damaged when I removed it to make way for DKS' model of the actual depot.
Just had to be ham fisted? haha
There's a "your mom" joke in there somewhere! Let me see if I can dig it up. As I recall it was only the platform that suffered damage...a big crack (go for it @chicken45 !)...but the platform was already in rough shape having been denuded of all of its platform detail for the new Lewistown depot.
1. I’m glad to be “that guy” here. 2. Dave you actually offered to send me your old station for free a few years ago. I always thought that was a kind gesture.
