I love it man. It's amazing how things like conventions can spur progress like that.

Convention helped, but I did just get the powerpoles last week  before our trip!
Plus now I'm trying to beat @Ed Kapuscinski to being in great model railroads! haha

Big milestone today!
Ran the first loco on a few laps. Only issue I ran into was one of te switches that doesn't have a switch machine installed needs to be spiked closed until I get more machines.

I bought a Digitrax Zepher this weekend that made it all possible. Here it is next to my Computer power supply that will provide power to my switch machines and LEDs around the layout.

Here's a overview of the layout in it's current state.

I installed all the switch machines I have and next need to install the fascia along with building the great of the turnouts for the layout.

I really like it

the wiring is hot....   useful info as I move forward in my Evolution. Bigger is Better when it comes to wire buses.

the modular aspect is nice as well...and the track is smooth

I wanna come run on it...  when are you hosting?

The bus is 14ga then suitcase connectors to the "European style" terminal strips then to the track wire.

Well now that I have it running!

Switches are being thrown with a 9v though right now until I install the Fascia and install the switches to toss the switch motors.

A weekend would probably be best since I live about an hour south of you guys up in Baltimore.
I`ll send out an email shortly to see when we could fit me in.

Bring your own throttle though!

Yes sir!
Figured it would give me the most trouble with any bad track work.

Installed one of the city sidings this is on passenger side.
[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

I placed one of the switches too close to the edge so I had to remove on rail and then start the curve right after the frog.
I soldered to the pc tie right after the frog first. Then to the gapmaster on the other side. I then used the gauge to tack down the other rail. Worked out pretty well and another great reason for handlaying.

The M1 with the test train seemed to look good and handle it well.

I also worked on the other side where the mine will be laying in cork.
I still have to add ties to the switches that will be on this side then I can finalize the trackage.

Thanks Eric!

I need some suggestions for a good station for my city,
Was thinking of the N Arch kit Grendall station:

So
Serious question

If you’re doing the middle division

Why are you using a non-pennsy station?

Just asking

Could be time to Scratch It Out
