We also have the single window coach starting up and this will be a NYC prototype with new 4 wheel trucks,
Well, I'm a bit disappointed that there will be no additional HW Pullmans... Are there no plans to do more?
Will these NYC coaches be close to NH prototypes?
Nothing announced but don't rule anything out. There are slews of Pullmans that they yet might do now that they have filled out some of the other offerings... hopefully a 6-3 will be a part of what yet will be offered. They are. Very, very similar... the biggest difference will be the splice plates above and below the window section but overall they are very similar in design...http://www.northeast.railfan.net/images/nh102.jpghttp://www.northeast.railfan.net/images/nyc2347.jpg
Please release New York Central in TTG first followed by Wabash. ;O)))))
Pardon my ignorance, but did the Wabash have any single window coaches? Weren't most/all of them paired window (except that one odd window in the center)? And most of those were then rebuilt with larger sealed windows.
Refresh my memory, do we have a pic of this NYC prototype?
Yes, an ACF product sold to a couple roads. But no, only one of two series received larger windows when modernized, the 1390-series, the 1225-series retained paired windows after modernizing.
