We also have the single window coach starting up and this will be a NYC prototype with new 4 wheel trucks,
(emphasis mine)

After MT does the NYC, could we please, Please, PLEASE have one in P&LE.   It is easy to do:  Pullman green body, car number in center below window line, P&LE sublettering above the car number and NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM on the letterboard.  All of it is gold Central Gothic.   Could we have one in P&LE PLEASE?!?

Well, I'm a bit disappointed that there will be no additional HW Pullmans... Are there no plans to do more?

Nothing announced but don't rule anything out.  There are slews of Pullmans that they yet might do now that they have filled out some of the other offerings... hopefully a 6-3 will be a part of what yet will be offered.

They are.  Very, very similar... the biggest difference will be the splice plates above and below the window section but overall they are very similar in design...

Please release New York Central in TTG first followed by Wabash.  ;O)))))

Not only do we need a combine, we also need a solarium observation!!

Thanks for considering us passenger train modelers.

Pardon my ignorance, but did the Wabash have any single window coaches?  Weren't most/all of them paired window (except that one odd window in the  center)?  And most of those were then rebuilt with larger sealed windows.  I would think the MT paired window car would be more appropriate.

The MT diner is similar to some of the Wabash diners (later configured as diner-lounges), and I painted one that way.

Refresh my memory, do we have a pic of this NYC prototype?

Yes, an ACF product sold to a couple roads.  But no, only one of two series received larger windows when modernized, the 1390-series, the 1225-series retained paired windows after modernizing.

I was hoping for a PRR coach with 2D-P5 trucks... No runner's pack of their heavyweight coach in Tuscan red either.

What a pity.   :(   YMMV

Jerry, thanks for the additional info, but I just want to make sure I am clear= are you saying that yes- there was a series of Wabash single window coaches or yes- all Wabash coaches were originally paired window?

On the other matter (rebuilt window sizes) I will take your word for it as far as more of them having paired small windows (also weathersealed) than large windows. And, of course, some were updated only on the inside, and kept the outer appearance of the original cars from the 1920s (and as I recollect, they kept one they named City of Columbia from a 1912 order that served for decades on a local).  I think I was going more on which I had more photographs of. It is something I have always found a little confusing, for example, while on your website, there are photos of 1234 and 1238 with (sealed) paired windows, there is a photo of 1235 (part of the 1927 order) in Heimburger's Wabash book (p. 218) with large windows, and some in the 1400s that were never updated (such as the photo of 1406 that I linked earlier), while adjacent numbers were done. And to further complicate things, some of the wide windows had a venetian blind guide installed behind, so they have the appearance similar to the wide windows of a Santa Fe "twin window" Budd chair car. It seems evident that Wabash did not renumber cars as they were rebuilt.

PS- the Passenger Car Photo Index remains the #1 resource for researching this sort of thing. Thanks so much for all the hard work you put in on that site.

How do these upcoming cars compare with CB&Q 7100 series commuter cars?  The commuter cars paint scheme is an eye catcher in my opinion.

Please, MTL, when you do the run of these with NH markings please do a LOT. I fear Bryan Bussey may buy up 150 of them and leave few for us other NHers.

I am hoping these will be configurable with six wheel trucks as well (similar to the Atlas/Branchline HO NYC single window coach). This way MTL can foob up even more roads!  :D (a good thing in this case).
