Before I returned to posting I found Robert's excellent tutorial about salvaging picassa links with the ?.jpg addition and have been doing that.  I started using photobucket when I began with the railwire, what, 10 years ago now?  It seemed after awhile their service went to crap too and I couldn't even get onto the site.  Time to try something new I suppose.

And just like that, I logged into google, copied an image location, went back to TRW and BINGO, all the photos reappeared without any intervention on my part.    Go figure.

Then logged out of google and the images disappeared.  Logged into google again and they reappeared.  Logged out of google and they remained.  ???
It's only three images behaving like this.  All others have been consistent.  The magic of the interweb.

IT'S ALIVE!!!  I've begun testing Brittain Yard.  So far everything has worked great.  Even better than expected.  Next step will be to dummy up a second level to test yard work with the 8" window between decks.

Hmmm.  The image appears on my screen.  Does anyone see the attachment?

Nope.
If you're using Google photos and you are logged into Google, you will see it but others may not if the photo isn't set to share with public.

The photos are in a shared album.  I've now marked each photo that wasn't appearing as a shared photo within the shared album.  Funny that all the other photos in the shared album have always appeared every time.  I must have gotten lucky and punched the right key as I downloaded them.  I'll go back and edit each post with the new file image location and we'll see what happens.

Must be something wrong with the link. I've been posting from Google Photos with no problems for a while now.  :?

Done re-entering all the suspect links.  Any better results?

I went back and marked each photo in the shared album as a shared photo.

There is a photobucket sourced photo in there too.  After logging into my photobucket account I remembered one of the reasons I quit using it:  So many pop-up advertisements made uploading photos a p.i.t.a.

Mama had a GNO at the theater, so I had a "boys night in" working on the railroad.  I made good progress on the second level to prepare for yard ops tests.
