Well if we are taking fire truck orders: (Attachment Link) (Attachment Link) (Attachment Link)
Wow, very nice looking! The level of detail is quite impressive! Going to have to give some of these cars a try!Question....I see some of the cars are looking perhaps a little jacked up. Can they be assembled to have a little lower ride by the modeler? If not, perhaps sanding a little bit of a flat spot on the bottom of the tires might do the trick.
The yellow background is a big improvement over the original photos, but I agree that a darker (black or dark gray) background might work even better.
Also available is this 1954 GMC PD-4501 Scenicruiser bus: ($8.00 each)Here it is shown painted and assembled, with acrylic gloss medium used for widow glazing:The mirrors and wipers are not included. I used A-Line HO scale wipers on this example. Be prepared for lots of careful masking in order to complete this model. I used Floquil reefer white, followed with Floquil bright silver, followed with a custom mixed Floquil blue. The rear also requires some black painting which I did by hand. The passenger windows have one coat of normal gloss medium, followed with another coat of gloss medium combined with a mixture of Tamiya acrylic clear blue and clear green. The marker lights were also painted with Tamiya clear orange and clear red. I spent over a week of masking and painting on this sample.
