@Shipsure

I would like to see more weathering and graffiti cars based on the 104000 boxcar.  It's the best (modern) boxcar you have because it isn't vertically compressed. The 025000 car you use for most projects is too squished for my tastes!

Also, more faded graffiti underneath rust and less emphasis on burners would be great! :tommann:

The roof on the 104000 series car appears to based on a cross-section view of a diagonal panel roof (where both diagonal panels would be the same width)

These graffiti boxcars and the shortline series boxes have great schemes, but it's still just lipstick on a pig to me..If that Berlin Mills scheme was on a scale, not compressed, model, I would have bought every one I could find...And I know the real proto for those cars has never and probably won't be made....But, due to the ugliness of that boxcar body, I bought NONE...

Imagine if Atlas never re-tooled the GP7s to correct them compared to the old Kato made versions...

It's ok to re-tool these, it really is...and long overdue, IMHO....Let 'em know Joe!

@Shipsure if Micro-trains is considering (or ever for that matter) a new 50' "per diem" boxcar tooling Rather then retooling the FMC cars (which at this point are in great supply from 3 sources (between different versions) I would put the request forward to tool a Berwick car. Its a very common car with many prototypical schemes and the Athearn/MDC version is sub par.

B&M also had some PCF-built cars that were similar to the Berlin Mills cars:

My only request would be not to use the separately-applied ladders like they did on 40' Hi-cube car. They look way out of scale an toysh.  The delicately-rendered molded-on ladders look perfect to me.

What about molding the ladders in the same material as the foot stirrups?  The foot stirrups appear to be very fine and are molded in color.

I just want them to start dong the N scale covered hoppers in Z scale.Oh and more cars weathered like the 3 car runner pack of boxcars in Z scale.
