When the recent PA-1's were released I was going to buy one in Erie colors. The first run you could buy them without DCC/sound. Now you can only buy them with DCC/sound so I didn't buy one. Because I didn't want to remove something that is half the cost of the model and toss it in the trash.

My sentiments, too. And we need more F-units? Really? If they would, say, port their HO SD45 to N given their attention to fine detail, I could get behind that versus the long-in-the-tooth Kato shell tooling.

Exact same feelings here. I still don't want to pay extra for sound I don't want and will remove. But apparently we're not their market.   :RUEffinKiddingMe:

I'm up in the air about the PRR F3/F7 offering.  Same reason. I have some IM F7's ordered in PRR but who knows when they will show up.  They will have LokSound decoders which is what I want. I could consider the BLI F's if they came decoderless so I could put LokSounds in them

And yet another GG1... Kato, Bachmann and now BLI

I applaud their getting into N scale in a bigger way, but those are definitely odd choices. The only unique thing there is the AC6000.

Glad no new freight cars will be harmed the coming year.

Good luck with $230 F units.  :o

The part line on the T1 coupler makes me think that is an N scale photo.

Sound equipped shoes for kids

I thought so too, but then they say it's an HO model.

And those shoes... too bad they don't make them in adult sizes...

You know it will be a matter of minutes before a parent tosses 'em in the dumpster. Why don't they just give Timmy a drum kit instead? Or bagpipes?

Is there a .pdf version?  The above link leads to a virtual catalogue that is on huge pain in the @$$#@+ to navigate...

Note the T1 will include MT couplers both front and rear.  Perhaps they heard the issue with the M1a/b.  I also see it will negotiate 9.75" curves.  The photo shows the two inner main drivers blind (without flanges).  I believe this is correct for the prototype.  I also wonder if the two driver sets will be rigid (per the prototype), or articulated (incorrect).  I believe the Pennsy T1 frames were some of the largest one-piece castings ever made.  The T1 will be awesome.

My sentiment exactly!  But we will have 4 now (Arnold made one too).  They had plenty of other exciting US prototype electric locos to choose.

Speaking of  Bachmann GG1, did it arrive already?  I haven't seen much buzz about it and I'm curious about its construction, sound decoder, and overall quality and fidelity.

That some nice stuff but wish they would give a DCC only option.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.
