My wife sent me the link for this. She found it browsing.  Looks like an interesting option for a photography light box from a Kickstart campaign.  It's already fully funded with 27 days to go.  At $199 for a full package it might be a bit expensive though.  but no external lights is handy.

Interesting.  I can't believe that design works, though.  Usually, a light box is translucent to diffuse lights on the outside.  That one looks like it has little holes to allow in direct lighting.

It actually has built-in LED lighting.  They don't say a lot about  the LEDs - "Premium High Power" 6000k-6500k, but nothing about the CRI nor how bright they are.

From the video, it appears that some of the holes are meant to be places to put your camera phone to take pictures if you don't want to use the front opening for some reason.

And I wondered about the LED's.  They look bright on the video but like George mentioned, no info about the CRI.  Probably in the typical 80 range though.

The walls are themselves panels of LED lamps. I guess the idea is to overexpose the background so the object being photographed ends up with a pure white background.  This seems like a good idea (if, as others have mentioned0 the CRI of the LEDs is high enough for good color rendition).  I have couple of those boxes you mentioned and they sit packed away while I use a simple stage made form a piece of curved paper with individual lights around it.
