So from the announcement, it sounds like these are all new tooling but I thought the Value line was just rerunning existing LBF/Huberts tooling. Is it easy to swap out things like the ends on existing tooling?

The ACI label was mandatory from 1970 to 1978 (they could be found 1967+ (1965 on DMIR) The Consolidated Stencil first appeared as a single panel in 1972. This was replaced by the two panel version found on the BN car in 1974. this again was replaced with the smaller 3 panel version in 1978. All three versions can be found to this day. The BN car is correct for a car painted from 1974 to 1977.

The link that ryan posted above appears to show a flat roof, and closer to the IM number series. Those seem to be pretty dang close for the prototype.
What did you use for the X75?http://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/ConrailEquipment/FreightCars/Boxcars/50Ft/X75NARC announced a PS 5077 in HO, but I haven't heard anything about a corresponding release in N.IMRC's 5277 is a decent model, but it doesn't have enough side panels for either an early 5277 (e.g. Southern) or the shorter 5077.If you remove the rivets from the end panels on a MDC Berwick, it would have the benefit of a PS roof, the correct number of side panels for either an early 5077 or 5277, and a removable door. However, I haven't measured the height or spacing between the ribs to see how it compares with either the early 5077 or 5277.
