Just posted to our website: http://www.bluford-shops.com/bluford_93_035.htm
For the first time in N scale we will be producing 2-Bay Rebuilt War Emergency Hoppers. See the link above for artwork from the first group of road names and picture of the pre-production sample.

Hooray! I was asking MT to produce these some time ago. I even tried kit-bashing some by cutting out the wood panels from composite hoppers.  Those didn't turn out very well and ended up in the scrap pile.

I hope the 2nd run will include some C&O units!

Nice!
Not something I really need, but something I'm happy to see made.

Woohoo!!! (as someone said the other day about another product...)  These will indeed be very welcome, at least to me!!!  Definitely a hopper that my late-40s era can use!!!  Never dreamed that someone would produce such a car... Bluford Shops... you are my HERO!!!

Oh, you might want to update your Southern Railway listing a little... hoppers like these remained in use between mines and processing centers in the western part of Virginia into the early-80s... probably some of the oldest cars to remain in such a service...

I guess this means I need to expand the steel mill and build a coal mine that is NOT selectively compressed.

Congratulations on finding a successful niche in the N scale world.
Tom D.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

Considering most if not all cars were rebuilt after the war this car is more useful than the micro trains version.   I'm sure you'll do lots of pennsy cars in future runs.   :)

After reading all the descriptions I wonder when the first steel paneled cars started to appear?

Or leave the wood panels alone and kitbash them into a triple :D
