MBK description lists MT trucks and couplers.

Well they aren't  :D
Looks like either IM redesigned their 100ton truck to accept MT style couplers (either genuine or clones) or it is a brand new truck...

The only thing I see on the Producers Grain car that really says "Soviet" is the Red Star, and Texas is the Lone Star State.  If that's the real Producers Grain logo, they probably never thought of anything beyond that.

Dammit, Jim, I need potatoes for vodka, not all this grain. Go see Checkov!

A red star above the chaff of wheat IS the old USSR logo...    The rays heading from the star and towering initials (with periods no less) add to the effect.

The Soviet star is a different shape. Clearly it is based on the Macy's red star (in use since 1858).  ;)

That's hilarious!

OTOH, it could easily be in commemoration of all the business they received from the Soviet wheat deal. Hmmm.

The pics that show the new trucks seem to show that it is offset hole style. The center of the trucks should be centered under the bolster, not offset..So I ask, why bother changing anything if not to "fix" it?..Metal wheels are a nice touch though..

Wheat is also a very common component of grain grower co-op logos, so I still doubt that they copied the Soviet design.  The bottom portion of the PGG logo looks almost like a Prickly Pear.

2 years ago, in June 2014, I pre-ordered their 4650 cu.ft. Tabor & Co. hopper.

I hope they will produce that model within the next 2 or 3 years...

Their product update page shows March for the 4650's.  Again, doesn't list the year

The hole is not offset on the ones I got.

Looks like these cars come with new trucks... IM trucks with MT Knockoff couplers?

IM used cloned ersatz-MTL couplers in their AC-12s (even when the paperwork stated that they were using MTL couplers), so I wouldn't be surprised.
