Nothing new per se but some BLMA stuff worked in.  Looks like just a couple MNS PS-4000's and RI PS 2750's for me later this year.

Looks like they have me figured out perfectly- Wabash GP7 TT end of this year, ATSF RSD 5 early next (although I might pick one up used), CEI RS1 not long after that.  Don't see the passenger cars yet, but that might be all part of their plan to get the bulk of my hobby dollars each quarter.  Kind of like paying taxes.

I know they will never do it (since they never have even in HO AFAIK), but I wish they would make a Code 55 slip switch.  I could use several, and I doubt I have the talent to make those on my own.

I know about the tie spacing and all, but have you looked at Peco c55 single- and double-slips?  Unlike the toyish appearance of all the other brands, Peco's trackwork is amazingly realistic (for a commercially-made slip switch).  But they are pricey.

Well, slip switches are going to be pricey, no matter what.  Can I mix Peco c55 with Atlas flex?  I am sure I can overcome the rail joiner issues, but would tie spacing, etc, be "close enough?"  In all these years (first N layout was about 1978), I have never used Peco track, but have always assumed some compatibility issues.

I think I answered my own question, which is that I should probably build the yard with the slip switches with Peco track- tie spacing and compatibility won't be an issue that way, other than at the point where the new yard attaches to other parts of the layout (which can be arranged to happen "offstage".

Chessie GP9's, Mcloud River boxcars, B&O and ICG 4000 cu/ft hoppers and Chessie gondolas (not totally correct but close enough)  8)

the only thing I have any interest in is the C&O Hoppers and even then it's not much.

I sure wish Atlas would high hood the GP35's  and 30's

Well, at least the GP30s, to use as a core for the GP30B. :D  I have a couple of Hallmark brass versions, and it would be nice to retire them given their quirks.

I wonder if Atlas has ever thought of tooling the C424 for N Scale?  I think that would make a nice addition for the Class 1's and short line modelers.  I really like the FMC 5077 Double Door boxcars as well for the team track.  The Operation Lifesaver GP15 would make a nice addition as well, but I'm trying to figure out when that scheme was painted on.  The only photos that I could find were taken in 1998.

Thanks,
Adam

I see two newly-tooled models being announced in December.  FMC 5077 Double Door 50' Box Car, and Trinity 5660 Covered Hopper.  As with the single door version with SM and more RBOX, it appears that some of the classic MTL schemes are being tackled early on the boxcar with WP and COP.

Isn't the Trinity just BLMA tooling?  I did miss the box car as I had already read about it before the catalog was posted.  Sorry about that.

GP30 with correct fan spacing should be the first priority...
