Completed PRR standard tool house (plan 57984-B) from Keystone Details (@Lemosteam).  Color palette is as follows:

Wall color:  DecoArt Americana Acrylic, Camel
Trim color:  Polyscale Roof Brown
Window sashes:  Polyscale Oxide Red
Roof:  Testors Flat Black spray paint with a wash of Polyscale Grimy Black (roof was covered with masking tape to simulate tar paper)
Weathering wash:  DecoArt Americana Acrylic, Soft Black

I have had the chance to do some more modeling, the past few weeks.
Adding lighting to the layout was the major project..

I know the Kwik Trip in town is the bright spot.

WP&P is also all lite up.

And the Water Tower has its beacon. (Fiber Optic tube with LED under layout)

I also dusted off a project that I had shelved.  Some eight years ago. (according to my last photographs from 2008).
The Rail Grinding train... :o

Below, are the Main cars of the train.  Two Cab/Control cars, Two Grinder cars, a Power car (which is a "modified locomotive, just like the prototype (B30-7AB) and the Crew car.

This morning, I solved a couple of the trains' issues.
The directional lighting, the Power pickups for the freight car trucks and the testing of the decoders for the Cab cars.

I've been turning my old Z scale show layout into the home Z scale layout. Here's a pic of it in it's current state. The layout is now 6'7.875" long (was supposed to be 6'8" but I think I can live with this length. :D

Going to be quite awhile before it looks this good again. :(

Great idea about the masking tape. Thanks for listing out your process too! Looks great!

In other news, I found this video of Tom Mann back from his youth before he changed his name and when he had hair and slapped bass.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Oh, one correction...  The light tan wall color is Folk Art Camel.

More stuff...  Did some work on the Midland, primarily equipment.  2-8-0 #50 was binding, so I completely disassembled, lubricated, and reassembled her and now she runs like a fine watch.  I also weathered some rolling stock:

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this. Do you have a build thread?
