What a coincidence that my Photobucket is now slow as hell, has full screen sized pop-up ads, and the data lights on my modem go crazy when I visit. And just now Chrome gave me a "aw snap" "page unresponsive".  There are a bunch of plans to pay to get rid of the ads like they want to piss you off till you pay.

Now there were always ads on the site, but nothing like now.

Seriously how do we post photos now  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

After some reading, I'll make my attempt to post a photo.

Are these both showing up?

Let you know if that changes.

Thx Ryan, please do.  Can you tell me what happens if you click the first image?

They also show up on my girlfriends desktop/chrome.

When I click on them, the first image open directly to google, the second opens with the smaller frame without leaving the thread.

To Google (photos) or does it open a new window with just the picture?

Okay, that's promising.  We'll see if it lasts.

I was able to see the photos on both my locked-down Firefox and plain-vanilla Safari without issue. I can try another computer/IP in about an hour.

Images were fine on second computer, older Firefox and different IP. So far so good, I guess.

I report the same results as Ryan.  But I saw similar behaviour in the last image I posted to my Engineering thread last night, and then it went dark on me after a few hours. I definitely saw my image for a while even when I logged out of Google, cleared cookies and rebooted my laptop, but now I only see it when I'm logged in to Google.  Can you give a recipe for what you did?

This transition is super annoying.

Can you give a recipe for what you did?

Assuming this holds on, I just made sure of two things.  First, the image is in an album.  Google Photos allow you to upload images without putting them in an album.  I just did it and now I can't even find the picture I uploaded.  :P

The second is to make sure the album is shared by going to 'albums' and selecting the one you're using and going into the 'sharing options' and turn on 'share'.  I then turn off the other stuff in the next window.  If you have any albums from the old Picasaweb, it might say it's shared but still go through the steps because  when I clicked the share options on those, it wasn't really turned on.

From there it's the old left-click copy and paste image URL where you can manually adjust the image size at the end of the URL.  You only need to do the width and the height will adjust automatically.

In the 2 pictures above, one is just the image URL, and the other has the "?.jpg" added at the end which makes the forum open the popup window.

Not as easy, but if it works, I'll probably do this until something better comes along.

So why is the address 4 miles long?
