While at Galesburg (on the bridge) Friday afternoon - I slowly drove across to see what was out there and I found an ICG 89' boxcar - Box car red with the plain "i" logo.. that I wanted to get a shot of...

I turned around to come back to park, and found an ICG 89' boxcar - Orange with the Circle "i" logo... (... where did the other one go  )

Sure enough..


ICG 680112 - 1 car.. two schemes...

Considering the paint schemes involved, the car existed in this form long before the Graffiti.. or safety stripes.  This car would date back to the early 1980s wouldn't it?..   

Found the car on rrpicturearchives and it remained (relatively) graffiti free until 2009...
... and at the time it had original initial/number stencils for each scheme.

Looks like one side of the car needed some touch-up repainting at some point.

I've seen other examples where one half or more of a car side has been repainted and lettering and logos appropriately restored. Not much of a leap to an entire side.
