Jerry, I can inquire if you'd like. But for what other cars would these frames be appropriate?

Hi guys, I am Dirk Jan Blikkendaal from "of all places" Holland (i like the remark Otto, no offense taken) and a longtime Santa Fe N scaler and member of the Historical Society and its predecessors.Let me explain a few things. The current development of 3D design and printing, combined with resin casting and etched brass lends itself perfectly to create good/reliable models in small runs, not only for my own model railroad but also for interested fellow ATSF N scalers. My post on the ATSF Yahoo site was prompted by an ongoing discussion on ATSF tank cars. Actually I wanted to go public in a few months when the models are complete and my webste with additional info is ready. The brass etched parts for these cars and some other projects are in the final stages. So please have a little patience....... Regarding the question of seperarely sold underframes: that would be possible but as Otto stated already for what other cars? And you would still need the etched brass parts I guess.

I will keep you all informed of progress and talk to you shortly.
Kind regards, Dirk

Dirk, welcome to the board, and thank you for joining!
Who better to write about your upcoming model then you!
Besides, we need more ATSF to help balance all the SPF's here :D
Kidding aside, this is a great site with some amazing modeling, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Looking forward to your progress!
Otto K.

Good to hear from you here. This looks a great project - I hope that it goes well. If you need any further help on the etching production side, do get in touch by PM. But I think that you have my direct email address already. If I don't see you in Kansas, we will no doubt see each other in the UK before too long.

According to the Hendricksons book, only the TK G,H,I & J tank cars.  There were a number of conversions in MOW service but for the most part are pretty much the same.

No idea really... just think it would be an interesting detail to have on some freelanced tanks...

Wow, count me in for two.    Make sure you announce here when they are ready, just checked your website and it's at least registered.

Thanks Otto, a very useful and informative site indeed. I will certainly post updates on progess and notify when my website goes life. All ATSF equipment used mainly from the 40's till the 60's.
Also thanks to Peter for his help. I still have your adress. I considered going to the US (Santa Fe Conv this week in Wichita and next week N Scale Conv in Kansas), but other plans took priority.... We certainly will meet again.
Regarding the question about selling underframes seperately: that will be possible.
I will get back when I have additional info but will answer questions in the meantime.
Regards, Dirk
