I didn't know Baldwins could be MU'd with non-Baldwin equipment. Unless the E was the "built-in" relief engine if the sharks failed on the run.

I was wondering about that as well, it was great hearing the Baldwins as the sound on the clip was quite good.

Baldwin made a conversion kit that allowed MU between their pneumatic controls and electrical MU systems, but it was an add-on that had to be specifically ordered.

  the E7 is NOT MUed with the Shark,they ran separately.
  those units are in the Yard waiting for their next trains.
  notice that the Shark looks as good as the E7.
   this must have been during the Shark phase out.

I agree that they aren't MUed.  The first backup move shows engineers in both units as well.  But they are doing more than just waiting for their next train as the video shows them pulling cars at 1:26.
