Having the summer off will do that!..Honestly, I'm surprised by my progress, this layout was just a sheet of plywood a little over 4 months ago. Doing my best to stock up on needed supplies beforehand really helped.. And a solid plan really helped too. Things should slow down though, as I'm back to work at the end of the month..

This week I've been increasing the greenery, and thanks to forum member @central.vermont  , I was able to Neolube my turnouts. However, in addition to that, he also showed me how to build this B&M buggy, and he also is the person who I learned the "vinyl tile wall" technique from, right here on TRW.All of these are in these photos.So, basically, without his help, this layout would not have been possible. Thanks Jon!

Thanks Joe, I feel incredibly humbled by your remarks.  I may have showed you but your the one that needs the pat on the back for such a fine job you have done so far!!!!

This is a really great layout that I've been admiring for a long time.

Out of curiosity, are the buggy instructions posted somewhere?

That spot looks kind of familiar ! I am anxious to see how his interpretation comes out!

This week was slow, but I did manage to fix a turnout which had an issue with the points "lifting", due do the throwbar being glued in such a way as to pull down when lined for one side. Although not photo worthy, it made me happy to get it working normally!

Also this week my local train station(Laconia, NH) turned 125, so they had some train rides, which used some rarely used tracks right by my house, but of course, I had to work. However, I did get to walk down the street from my house, sit by the water for a few mins, and get a shot of the equipment going back home after the event was over...



I also received some Atlas GP7 mechanisms, and was finally able to get a mech under each of my GP7s. All but 3 have Scale speed motors, which has been an ongoing upgrade to the fleet, and these last two helped me finally get a scale spped motor in this older framed chop nosed geep...I also decided it was time fro a group portrait, as the whole fleet has never been all together before now...
