While I have not actually "broke ground", I do intend on building this, and have begun collecting materials to do so. I have not updated this thread in a while, but changes/additions/refinements are as follows..

1.After debating on using pre-made or brick by brick walls, I settled on using the brick by brick/vinyl tile method for cost...Total should be less than 10$ for about 12 actual feel of stone walls, about 2 inches high. This also will allow custom abutments. I have built a cutting jig, and begun cutting strips of vinyl tile to be broken into bricks later..

I am actively looking for ANY photos or info on the canals. I have found plenty of photos of the yard, just not of the switching lines on the canals..So if you know of any, please point me in the right direction! I would be grateful!
