LL SW9/1200's Don't Bounce

Well, after about 20 years in N scale without ever conducting a surprise bounce test off the garage floor, it finally happened to a LL SW9/1200. It got snagged by the coupler of a loco I was taking out of a wall-mounted storage cabinet. It didn't bounce. :scared: :facepalm: :-X

Um, that's very strange . . . it must be one of those very rare examples of the model which used non-rubberized plastic in the shell.  Hopefully it wasn't one of those super-detailed models.   :scared:
. . . 42 . . .

Do you need any body parts? Might have some.

Thanks, guys! Thankfully, it was not a super-detailed or custom painted model (yet). As far as damage goes, I'm still trying to determine the extent but I do know the sill unit is toast as the rear pilot and stepwell are badly damaged. Also, I still haven't found the rear light casting or one of the brass contacts that attach to the sill. One of the trucks almost came apart but everything seemed to go back into place with minimal effort. So, all things considered, the damage is not too bad and seems to be cosmetic only....unless I'm missing something. Going to see how it runs this AM.

Update: Did a test run and, while the unit thankfully still runs well (I love how well these models run), I discovered it has a bent wheelset causing quite the wobble. So, to repair this unit, it appears I would need the following parts for sure:

* Wheelset
* Sill Unit

And, if I can never find them:

* Sill contact strip (left rear under Fireman's side of cab)
* Rear light casting

Joe and Clint, I really appreciate the offer to help with parts!  :D

I could use some front and rear light casings, and rear side handrails.  But I have to pull them out of box to see exactly what I need if anyone has extras of these  :D

Russ, let me look in one of my "under repair boxes" and see what I have. Have to find that box first. But if you have a few of them, might be a good investment to buy a loco for parts in the future.

Thanks, Joe! I really appreciate you taking the time to look.

Yeah....this is one of only two of the LL switchers on my roster.

If it comes down to it, this one will become a standby parts donor for the first...although I would prefer to make it whole again.

Russ, I try to pay it forward here, as others have sent me parts, or sold to me at a decent price. I'll look this afternoon, after I go photo the B&M Mogul at D.R.M.

Russ i have been covering all my SW1200 to MTL SW1500 shells and have plenty of parts for the old 1200 if you need them.

Really. I don't want them.

So who can I bug for parts?  :D
I only need coupler clips and a conductors side grab iron for the rear...
