So I was using my jar of Neolube yesterday, and accidentally dipped a FUD printing into the surface (doing two things at once).  The neolube soaked in, porous remember, and after two or three more dips, the part came out like this:



A fellow modeler suggested that the Neolube would be conductive. This truck will have needlepoint contacts so it got me a bit worried.  So I conducted a test:

NO CONDUCTIVITY WHATSOEVER. 

Needles to say, the Neolube works really good on black underframe type fud and fxd parts.

That is a clever solution John.
But I suppose in some instances it might be beneficial to get a coat of primer and paint on those items to smooth out the printing artifacts.

@peteski , that was a quick Bestine cleaning, no brushing and no Air eraser, which I normally do for real projects.

John which Neolube number did you use?  Would someone explain the difference between Neolube No.1 and Neolube No.2?  Huron Industries does not appear to have a website and I can't find data online that shows the difference.

Did we flat out ask @mmagliaro ? Maybe he has some of the actual #2 so he, or someone else does, can test.

Huh?  Youtube is chock full of really silly and stupid videos!  I haven't seen it but I think your might actually fit in the "educational", not "silly" category.  :)

I didn't.  But Max still has a small quantity of Neolube bottles available from his bulk purchase last year, so I bought two.  This will come in handy for a number of FXD projects, but specifically for the EP-3 trucks and pilot porches.

@wcfn100 , tried that firs, not as effective and it wiped off easily.  This stuff is stuck and it does not come off on my finger.

I can only assume you are asking fir weathering purposes.  I don't know, but I have sprayed dullcote over it.  I would hesitate using water based products over it but I can test...
