I had gotten notice of that auction on Friday afternoon.  Was debating on whether to post it or not.  I've got my eyes on some items, hoping not too many people know about the site

It's a double edged sword .

Posting .... helps the seller , and the auction house

Not posting .... Helps those already in the know

Makes you wonder how many of these go unknown by the modeling crowd

I only found out about it via Facebook. The guy running this auction posted about it up there.

Not really keen on going through 38 pages ... from the first couple it looks like mostly MTL stuff? Anybody wade through the whole list to see what other mfgrs are there?

I've just done searches for different roadnames, come up with only micro trains.

Definitely a mega-hardcore MTL collector. I made it through about eight pages (x100) before giving up. Lots 'n' lots o' collector-series cars like the state and president runs. There are a few Kato, Atlas and Bachmann locos, the only road names I noticed were BN and UP, not counting the MTL-issued foobs.

As would be expected from this kind of collection, everything I saw listed was in the original box.

The non-MTL stuff is concentrated mostly on the last page.

Auctions are closing today.  Surprised by some of the prices of closed auctions and numbers of bids on items.

I got that car I wanted, expected it to go for a lot more than what it did.

I bid on 9 items, and have been outbid on all of them by now.  Debating whether to try to win a few, but will probably let them go .

I bid early on about 30 items but I really didn't expect to win many at the bids I put in (I've been outbid on all but 1). The auction was promoted very well based on the winning bids I've seen. I am surprised this collector didn't have more locomotives....I guess that makes sense though with so many items appearing to be new in the box.

There was a different estate collection that had some train stuff. Won the bid from there, got it mostly for the Digitrax Zephyr.  Had a bunch of HO rolling stock in it also, which will eventually be up for sale after I browse through it.

I don't think I'll buy anything through them again. 8.95 shipping plus a 1.00 handling fee and my car arrived loose in a carboard envelope. Thankfully MT has sturdy cases.
