Most kind.
I guess the Trainfest committee agreed.

I think without Mod U Trak present...

Its a bit humbling. There were some nice layouts there.

Bill, your layout is spectacular and compared to what else was there is extremely well deserved. There were some great modules on those big layouts but overall yours is the best. Next time I will need to get an autograph.

Congrats

I dunno about all that fellas. I guess there were some things about it that made it stand out. The height was one. The fact that it was a switching layout versus a "roundy round" may have been another. I dunno.

I want to give the fellas at Mod U Trak proper credit. Their layout was a big influence. They have always been very friendly in sharing techniques and ideas. I owe them a lot.

Told you so Bill. LOL!  Yes your layout is that well done and you're modest. I applaud that. And thanks for the kudo's to Modutrak.

Bill, Merry Christmas and a late congrats on the Trainfest award. I see Jim at model Shelf Layouts on FB today is selling his portion of the layout. Are you still going to tour your now AWARD winning portion?

Well, I really don't know. I think I need to depart from it, for creative reasons, for a while. I have spent a good 5 to 6 years on it already and I feel the need to move on, for now that is. I will likely return to it in time. I have several concepts I'm developing at the moment.

Also, I hope everyone here realizes that this layout has been a partnership between Jim Wiggin and myself. He should get credit for original concept and design. I have played mostly a supporting role. My contributions were mostly with scenery on my own portion of the layout. It has been a great project and I have learned a lot. I'm sure that in time the two of us will be seen again switching the industries along the Galesburg Industrial.

This post is late. Holiday weekend and surgery had me busy. My apologies.

It was a great time, as always, at the Ohio N Scale weekend 2 weekends ago. The staff did a wonderful job putting it all together. I really enjoyed the auction and dinner Saturday night. It was a treat to have Btrain joining me with his beautiful NKP layout.

A really nice surprise for me was the electronic engineer from CMR showing up just to do a custom electronic installation on my grade crossing signals. WOW! My thanks to him and CMR.

All this has given me new incentive to start some new work on the layout. I'm starting some new modules this weekend. Hopefully I'll have something to display at the show on the last weekend in June.

Oh, this was fun to see on the way home in Kenton. Zoom in.

Got some framework done on my new modules. This is one of four. Since my split with Jim, I'll be creating my own versions of ground already covered plus some new ground for the City Job.

This is exciting!  I like the old setup but pumped to see how you top it.
