Be careful, the details on these cars are fragile .. I broke some of the piping just by taking it out of the case ..   I'm not sure how I want to put them onto the layout on a regular basis ..

In the FWIW category - I put together the new oil train yesterday.  The 24 BLMA followed by a like number of Athearn ethanol tankers - yeah, I know it's not proto but it sure looks good.

For the first time ever I was able to run new BLMA cars around the layout with no issues.  And I have a lot of BLMA cars.  Finally got the wheels just right.

Of course I did the standard checks - wheels roll free (about one in six needed to be adjusted), trucks have adequate side to side rock, and everything's where it ought to be.  Except one placard holder found in the box, but that was no biggie.  But these are the best cars Craig has done IMO.  Nothing like going out on a high.

And Atlas, hang on to that factory, they know what they're doing QC wise.  And get the next run going so I can get rid of the Athearn cars and have a real crude train.

Mine came in the same cardboard outer sleeve as what Rapido uses.  I wonder if it is the same factory?
