Interesting approach to simplifying choices... but in closely looking at the matrix, it is an oversimplification of the YMMV variety.

Where do polyurethanes such as Gorilla Glue fit? Also, there are a lot of differences between construction adhesives; some work quite well on metals - Gorilla Construction Glue, for example - while others such as Loctite's urethanes, not so much. Also, one category for "Plastic"? Really? PTFE is a whole different animal than, say, polystyrene, and they don't even touch on solvent glues. "Two-component adhesive"? Covers a lot of ground with a single hand-wave - there are urethanes that are two-component as well as epoxies.

I see other errors/omissions, too, such as recommending "Construction adhesive" for joins with styrofoam. Nope. Nope nope nope.

There is a specific formula of construction adhesive for extruded foam (PL300) Ive used it many times on layouts or construction projects with no issues.

I do agree however that it is a over simplification...

Need a similar chart just within plastics!  I.e. Nylon to nylon, nylon to ABS, polypropylene to ABS, sytrene to ABS, sytrene to nylon, etc.

Problem is that there aren't any generally available adhesives which provide strong bonds on nylon, polypropylene or Delrin for that matter.  There are some CA glues with activator/primer touting that they can bond hard to goue plastics but in my experience those aren't quite up to the task.

Duct tape is the worst invention ever!  The adhesive turns into a sticky goo, sometimes in less than a day.  Now Gaffer's tape is really useful, but at more than twice the price most duct-tape-using red-bloded-mailes are too cheap to use it.

I switched over to Loctite 401 for my CA. Got very frustrated with the hobbyist CA not really sticking. This stuff sticks in 15 seconds. Full cure in 24 hrs.

Is this for any specific material or in general?  I have no problems with hobby-grade CAs working as expected.  I mainly use the BSI brand. The extra thin works *VERY* aggressively!  I'm also a big user of their accelerator.  If CA glues and accelerator were taken off the market for some reason, I would have to quit my hobbies. Seriously! I need my super-glue!  But I also use half a dozen other adhesives - just the CA seems the most handy.
