Weren't Con-Cor boxcars originally designed and molded by a Japanese company which eventually became Kato?

A lot of them were, yes. A lot will be stamped "Sekisui" or "Japan." Sekisui being short for "Sekisui Kinzoku." A lot of the early made cars had this molded on the car, as well as written on the Con-Cor packaging. I have even seen Sekisui on the cars with Kato on the box.

I have a Model Power Nestles quasi refrigerator car lettered "Norph American."

First $1000 takes it!

To me that type of spelling mistakes clearly indicate that the artwork was done in a non-English-speaking country (um, China) where they don't really know what they are designing. Sometimes photo they use for reference is blurry and they try their best to duplicate what they think they see (without really understanding the meaning or context of the words).  This type of spelling mistake is often seen in photos posted on http:/engrish.com

I've seen similar mistakes made on Chinese-made diecast automotive models depicting Polish cars from the cold-war era.  A model of an ambulance has "RATUNKDWE" instead of the correct "RATUNKOWE" decoration on the side.  Again, that shows that the artwork designed confused O with a D.  They are very close visually and without understanding the correct spelling of the word the designer will not know thei made a mistake.

Yeah, but those panels were just re-installed in the wrong locations, similar to hood doors on Diesel Locomotives.  Not really the same.    :)

Same difference - non-English-speaking designers.  Yesterday's Yugoslavia, today's China.  Not that there is anything wrong with that, but these type of mistakes will happen.

This is the first car I personally came across that had a messed up name:

Hmm... Kiz actually
bought one...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

This one seems to imply lack of knowledge about US railroads, rather than a spelling mistake.

We have the meats!

Park it next to the "Hydraflame" and you've found the home of the whopper...
