Wow, that's insane!  :o  So, is it safe to assume a tender shell is coming? BTW the link didn't work for me.
Never argue with idiots; they'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

John:

This item does not show up in your store either.  Looking forward to it.  Do you have a list of PRR steam locos that used these?

In case I had any thoughts of eliminating the track pan scene from my layout...   :D

Now when are you doing the pans?

The pans themselves can be done with some simple rectangular channel shapes. Since they should be modeled full of water, there's not much point in doing the fiddly details of the splash guards along edges. I've tested some different Plastistruct forms and found one that fits nicely on top of Atlas C55 ties (the package is lost in the basement at the moment). Now all the associated buildings, fittings, heaters, and other yummy equipment that I need to scratch build, those would be quite nice!

@towl1996 @dougnelson , there was a minor glitch in the printing so I pulled them until I could confirm it passes.  It is back up now.

Doug, I am not sure how many locos had them, but I know that nearly every tender class could be upfitted with them.  the ones I know for sure:

E6, K4, M1 (which also had a slpash shield), L1, T1.

Here is a great little ditty I found online...

That has been pretty much my only reference for track pans as I plan my scene.  There's an amazing dearth of information out there on the subject.

Scoop prints came in and I mounted one on a Trix tender frame:
