How many contemporary railroads do you see using serif-ed lettering? Aside from tourist lines, um, practically none. BNSF is the only one I can think of, and then only in circle and cross logos as a retro nod to Santa Fe heritage, but major applications just don't use it anymore. Asshats don't let other asshats use serifs.

Oh god, I just realized something... in 96/97, everyone still loved Comic Sans...
I think for the logo, I would have the Idaho State map image with a literal belt and a big rodeo buckle through it. Ditch the "IB" entirely and just have Idaho Belt in a simple plain Font on the long hood.
