Erik, Sweet stuff!! Love the oil/liquid stuff,,,since the traincat stuff is not around. Your elevated piping will be great with this new stuff.Just need to get funds to make a large transload facility. Could use the platform for any tank car serviced industry. So many ideas,,,so little time,,,so little money!!Cya, Wyatt
Hi all,I made a few new things. First off is a very detailed bridge girder with loads of tiny rivets. It took some experimentation to see how small I could have the rivets printed. The only drawback is that the rivets make the print file really big (lots of polygons), so I can only print one girder at a time.......Erik
Erik,Does that girder have full rivet detail on BOTH sides? It looks fantastic. I am thinking it could be a nice upgrade to the venerable Atlas girder deck bridge (slice off the sides and replace them with these).
Yep, it has the rivets on both sides, but not on the bottom.
Rivets that small could be drawn as cylinders as the printing process will have some rounding effect. That would significantly reduce the file size.Jason
