Street double yellow reversed weather weirdness .

Found this today , the trench patch has the yellow professionally done , and the whole of the street is so faded it can't be seen .

Oddly with Google Pictures , I made the photo 800 wide , uploaded to Google Pictures at that size , but when I downloaded the photo it looked to be about 400 wide . I changed the link here to 1024 and the result came out as you see it , at about 800 wide . I don't know if I can stand all these new improvements .

I see it, but others say you can only see them on Chrome. I'm on Chrome.

But I do... ;)

It is weird. I could see the photo on my system at the layout building (OSX/Firefox) all day. At home, similar system, I get nothing. I block Google cookies at home, so I had a hunch and cleared cookies on the layout system... GONE!

Viewing apparently relies on Google cookies previously on your system and not set with viewing the picture alone. But I don't know where those cookies came from. I went to the Google home page before viewing the thread again, and it didn't change anything - no picture. Let me try a couple of other Google locations and see what happens.

OK, now it's getting stranger. I went to Google maps without sign in, it didn't do anything. Then I signed in and out of my "trash" Gmail account to leave an account-related cookie trail... and still nothing.

However, I see the photo in Weekend Update.

Whatever it is, it's tied to something with account management and cookies. Beyond that... :?

Whatever happened to the reliable and easy to deal with URL links to photos?  $hit nowadays is getting way to over-complicated!  I wonder how long will it take for Photobucket to start using those weird URLs?  They already append ~original to the direct links. IN the past, it you copied/pasted some url to a photo in the address field, the photo would be displayed in the browser. Now even URLs ending with .jpg bring up the full Photobucket page containgn the usual do-dads (unless they are embedded in HTML code, like within a post).

I'm sure that deep down is it all about them making money somehow.
