I just use a small dab of GOO to glue 'em on.  Use a wee bit of caution -- a small quantity of GOO and keep it away from any coupler moving parts.

These folks sell M0.8 brass screws, $10 for 20, which is a lot more reasonable, and M0.8 is slightly smaller than 000-160.
They also have M1.0 and other sizes.
