Yay, the SAL Centipedes are out of stock!  That avoids what little temptation there may have been for a locomotive out of my era.  :)  Besides, my wallet just got the crap beat out of it by Atlas' release of three SBD GP38-2s and the necessary DCC decoders.  Oh, and the SBD B36-7s shouldn't be far behind.

Wow! I'd expect a restock on these, but wow!

I think they only had like under 10 of each in stock, I think. I think the numbers were around 7 actually.

No, I said "Ed's Law."

That's what I remember, too.  I'm wondering how many BLW got as they still say coming soon so I'm assuming Pete is still shipping pre-orders.  What will be interesting is to see how many remain in the BLI warehouse in a month or so.  Not knowing how many they made makes it hard to tell but as of Feb 1st the list shows lots of ARA 70t, N&W H2a, tons of PRR H32's.  Not so many NYC box cars.  Either they sold better or they made fewer.  I hope the hopper situation doesn't discourage BLI from coming out with new items.

At least they're selling, which is good because there didn't seem to be much buzz surrounding them. Since I don't own any brass engines, this is the single most expensive loco I've ever bought, so I pretty amped to get it. Unbelievable amount of PRR equipment being produced lately, truly the golden age. I'm thankful.

The problem with those freight cars is they were packaged wrong. They should have been offered as singles and the runner packs should have been priced lower than buying 4 singles.
Never argue with idiots; they'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Couldn't agree more. Bluford has a better approach, and it obviously works: buy one, or two, or three, or all six, in six different numbers.

Heads up, MBK has a BLI sale going on right now.  Centipede pairs can be had for $299.
