What the devil? Where is that Bob, and where was he going?

I thought NS provided service on the NEC.

Seabrook MARC station.  Train is heading to the Popes Creek branch.  Cars going to Chopps Lumber near Waldorf.  Probably went on down to the power plant to pick up empty hoppers afterward.

Whoa. I feel like I've never actually seen the red light on an AEM7 on before. Was it shoving?

Nope; it was pulling. I have only ever seen that light on one other time, and that was on the same unit sitting in 30th street station, where after it raised the pan, all of the lights seemed to come on. The red light is a strobe light that flashes every five-ish seconds. I always thought it was just an emergency light. My thoughts where that possibly due to the low visibility in the rain/fog that it was turned on as an extra precaution. I am not sure how much sense that theory makes.

Great photos.  What is the Amfleet car with the cab-control windows?  I have not seen one of those before.  Is that a modified old car, or newly built?  From the small windows, I would think it was a rebuilt car.

Thank you. From what I can tell, the last two cars seem to be an ex-Metroliner catenary inspection car and Corridor Clipper 10002, respectively. The Metroliner is now catenary test car 10005, while the Corridor Clipper is based on the amfleet I and is a track geometry car. I now the catenary car is an ex-metroliner, but I am not sure whether or not the Clipper is a rebuilt or new-built car. I have seen both cars at different times sitting in 30th street station, but this is the first time I have seen them on an actual train.

Also interesting, the car in front of it seems to be a metroliner cab car.
