Took the family to Disney world for vaction. While there, we visited the Lego store at Disney Springs where I filled a bucket from their wall of bricks. Here's the results of an evening of assembling, next will be kragle and primer...

On the way back stopped in Fernandina Beach, FL and then Folkston, GA, so I've got some pics to share from that later...  8)

Finally got the backdrop painted behind the paper mill this weekend. Here's a few pics of the results:

Now I can move on to getting the mill buildings attached and add some more details.

Been working on the paper mill some more...

I bought one of those 3D printied kits mentioned in this thread:   It is now the recycled paper shed. Also chopped down another little building to make everything fit between the larger structure (pulp mill) and the foundation of the shed.

Looks like I need to either raise or remove the door on the pulp mill to get it to match up correctly. I'm also adding more details on the other side of the tracks, including tanks, vents, and what not. More to come...

Atlas B23-7, ex-Norfolk Southern 3982, now NREX 3982 leading the local job. They've tied down in the shadow of Jackson Paper for the long weekend...

Looking forward to incoming shipment of various items. going to redo the flex track siding with Unitrack. Also have a Tomix (or was it Tomytec?) Bank & Trust kit coming that will replace the Kato building in the town. That may lead to a town upgrade, too.

We'll just have to see what happens over the holidays!

I'm still waiting on my box of goodies to arrive...

In the meantime, I have been running trains. In the process of doing so, I thought to my self, "Self, we need to liven this up a bit, add some variety." So I am thinking on finding a one person operation plan or scheme. Any suggestions on where to start?

I thought making something akin to a card game, where you draw a card before starting and assemble the train or make operational changes based on whatever the card says. I think something like that already exists? Not wanting to reinvent the wheel...

Liking that orange pulp tank. I misted mine lightly with Valparaiso Blindfold to weather and tone down the glow a bit. That scene is developing nicely. Only other suggestion I have is to move your tanks so the pipe bridge doesn't go directly across the highest part of the tank catwalk. No clearance for anyone but dwarven workers otherwise.  :D

Thanks! I've been pondering how to put a tile texture on it...

I need to build a little structure to receive the bridge. I like it to be the same size, covered in metal siding, to give the impression the bridge had siding on it at one time. The top of the tank is my non-OSHA complaint support for the time being, it just happens to be the right height.

Or cut a set of descending steps down to meet the pulphouse door. Looks more like an "added after original building built" structure that way.

That's a thought... it is right on the edge of the layout, so it would be an interesting scene with the railing and some details around it.
