Do you know Sheila?  She's a member of the PRR Nscale modeler's group on Facebook.  She had pics and a video of the Centipedes running around an Ntrak layout.

I do. We are both members of the Northeast NTRAK group, but since she lives in western MA while most of the shows we do are in eastern MA, we don't see each other to often. Springfield show is one of the few shows she attends.  She is a rabid SPF!  :)

Sheila let a member of the PRR Defense Corps run the centipedes for a lap and they look good in operation, and sound pretty good as well.
From what I saw, they're pretty good runners.
It was almost enough to tempt me to buy a set, but then I remembered the sky-high price-tag.

You mean @Fleigerin ?
She writes for Keystone Crossings also. Got to meet her in Ann Arbor years back.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Those looking for an E6, you should write into Model Power and ask for one.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Here is another tidbit I forgot to mention earlier:

I spoke with the TCS rep last weekend at the Springfield show.   When I described the funky speed-step problem when using CV2, 5, and 6 he acknowledged that TCS is aware of the problem and that it's a bug in the decoder's firmware.  They are going to fix the bug and when they produce new batch of decoders with the fix they will offer replacement to people who send in the older decoders (that exchange will be treated as a standard repair service offered by TCS).  No timeline was given.

I also picked up this flyer during the show. I thought it was quite comical (if you can spot it).  :)

I just scanned the top and bottom of it.

Who says time travel is in impossible or possible only in the distant future I think Rapido knows more than they are saying. :D

I note the Rapido ad for the O-B "10 window coach."  Does that imply the possibility of other bodies later on, like a "Canadian Flyer"? Did anyone ask at the show? Given their commitment to CN passenger cars, it seems a natural for them.

I can answer those questions... well; maybe I can

Date: Tardis...... next question....

Other styles: In HO we offered the Deluxe 11 window (SSw, Espee.....) and nobody cared..... I mean 11 guys pre ordered.... after the success of the 10 window OB we were  puzzled so we re announced it..... same 11 guys..... so we canned the project. Not sure that N scale would support another body style....

CN style: Maybe; we're going to try it in HO first; we're also going to float "almost Bradleys".... the SSW, Espee and other paint schemes on the 10 window  body... close being better than not at all.... The CN cars would be interesting....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Puddington,

Thanks for the response.  I have no idea how you all go about trying to dartboard what to produce.  I think that many of the things that everyone wants 5 of have already been produced by someone.  I would guess that the Osgood Bradley is a "signature car" for the NH crowd (like an El Cap high level car for an ATSF modeler), while for an SP modeler, it is a matter of "if it fits my timeframe and region, I might buy one."

That said, hopefully your new baggage cars do well (I'll be in for a couple), and you are encouraged to continue expanding your N scale line.  And when you get a chance, please run some more of the "as built" coaches in the 1954 CN scheme. When the original run came out, I only had enough change in the cushions of my sofa to pop for a couple of them in GTW.  And daynighters that were rerun are anachronistic when you are modeling 1956.

Arnold's doing a U30C?  Duplicating Kato  I hope it's a different U-boat like a U30b or do you mean the U28c is next.

+1.  If I have to put up with Conrail SD40-2's with HTC trucks, I will be purchasing and painting Kato units.  They will run like a Swiss watch, and I could modify the HTC truck ala Kapuscinski.  Thanks.

Jeff

Anyone know if the IMRC chassis will accept a either a pair of Kato Flexicoil trucks or Atlas SD35 truck (with Kato Flexicoil sideframes)?

To be honest, the IM SD40-2 shell is almost guaranteed to be vastly superior to the rather dated Kato shell (lots of annoying errors) but I am still waiting to see the actual release of the IM units.

I have a few of the Kato units, but I am hoping the IM units will be much better.

All of my IM units are excellent runners.
