If I can afford them, I would be in for 3 of the ones that Upstate Gator has in his photo (which is the series sold to C&WI for their commuter trains).  If the Erie intercity coaches (longer, no arches) were done, I might go for one or two as those occasionally made it onto Erie long distance trains - the Prototype Modeler article on Erie coaches had a photo of one in 2 tone green- so they were in use on those trains into the 1950s.

So I bought the old RMC issue on ebay. Anyone need drawings?  :D  They include the goofy trucks.

@Chris333 are there any interior shots? Could you scan the article and email it to me?  I have sent a PM to you, with my address.

Well I guess if John (Lemosteam) is taking over, I might as well step aside. Back to the Espee...

 :)
the "Goofy" trucks were fabricated like Arch Bar freight trucks, cars had them until replaced by the
  NJDOT Push-Pull trains.
   they rode fine.
the Long Distance,or PJ cars were rarely in NJ Comuter service,it was a really rare to see them off
the PJ trains in the late 60s,they had Commonwealth Top Equalized trucks.they did fill out the long
  distance trains when needed.
the other trucks were also a Commonwealth design with cast frames and drop equalizers, all Stillwell
cars rode Better than the P-S Comet cars that replaced them.
the nicest models were by NWSL in the early 70s,but only in HO.
there was a start up outfit-- "Stillwell Cars" in the early 90s that was planning on making All versions
of Stillwell cars in Injection Molded Plastic, they claimed to be located in NY State, but cant recall where ?
they produced exactly ZERO Cars if memory is correct, and may have been an Investment Scam ??
like Contenental Flyer,or the Firm that was going to produce Heavywieght Cars in HO Plastic around
the late 80s,dont recall the name they used ?

Did I miss the pre-order deadline?

No preorders at all. I will have plenty of sides on hand and the RP parts will be made to order. We are still a ways out on this. Etchings are probably a month or two away and that is based in having a RP core in hand.

Thanks Scott, for the quick reply.  A couple or 3 months out is a good window for me, as I am moving and have enough project backlog to keep me going at least that long.  The drawings appear to be exactly the car I am looking for.

I need to measure my current stand ins (some cars I got in a large lot in an online auction)- cut down Lima coaches from a box of misc picked up in an online auction.  Wonder if I can find a baggage car side to fit them...  I figure if real railroads rebuilt their old coaches into head end cars, I should do the same.
