We are visiting Ft. Myers and were told to see the Shell Point model RR in the Shell Point Retirement Community.  Anybody seen this?

Thanks for your help.

I visited the Shell Point Retirement community to look at its 40 ft x 40 ft HO layout in the shape of the state of FL. I drove past the security post and received a map directing me to the layout.  It was assembled by a group of retirees in the community and is an impressive re-creation of FL landmarks and industries.  All visitors are accompanied by guides who point out things that are probably impressive to non-modelers.  I would have preferred observing at my own pace.
Admission is free and you may buy a DVD of the layout for $10.  It's open from 1:30 -3:30 on Mon, Wed and Fri.  If you're in the Ft. Myers area it's worth a look.
