Not "thinned" ACC, just "thin" ACC.  I meant the watery thin stuff, as opposed to the gels or thicker ACC forumlas.

Now that you're at the "window dressing" stage, it's easy to overlook the fact that the "basic elements"
of this model; drivers, frame, tender trucks, etc. were also made, by you, from scratch...

Oh... ha ha I get it, the backhead sticking way out (before the cab is fully slid into place).  Yes!

Thank you folks, as always, for such nice feedback.  I've done one upgrade since I posted these.  Those window frames around the two little windows on the front of the cab were just too oversized and they really started to bug me.

I made these by just cutting one rung section off some brass ladder stock.  It think they look a heck of a lot better than what I had on there.

Tender Body Part I

Now we begin the tender body.  This first installments covers making the major body and oil tank sections.
There will be a second part (when I actually get the work done) for a lot of the major appliances and large details.

Thanks, Chris!  You mean, those thin styrene sheets I have glued inside the tender walls to support the tank?
Right, those did not melt.  I draped wet paper towel over the rest of the tender body so that it wouldn't heat up while
I soldered those fillers in there.
