They look pretty nice, but appear to be prone to derailments or maybe the unitrack is not properly gauged! The handrails are getting beat up, but the other details are holding up to being "gently" handled by the public

Looks like they used the same multi piece set-up like Kato did with the SD40-2 Mid.  Easier to get the light tubes in for the ditch lights.

Looks like the sill is more than one piece and is simply misaligned in the photo. More importantly, are we looking at operating ditch lights and pre-installed uncoupling levers, grab irons and wipers??

Got permission to hold the INTM SD40s. They are about as heavy as you might expect any Atlas loco to be of that size. They are not quite as heavy as a Kato, yet they seemed  heavier than the the SD45-2s. I was rather impressed. Yeah, the handrails have taken quite a beating as you might expect. I watched in another booth, in horror, as a 12 year old just walked up and grabbed another locomotive.

The blue was quite dark on the ICE unit, also rather nice I thought. They make Atlas' GP40s look too light. The BN seemed quite nice as well. I think we might have a contender here. Now, I am wondering how they will run..

Oh and those Athearn racks; nice! The flatcar seems quite heavy. The "handrails" on top are not quite as fragile as you might think either. Plus metal wheels. I'm all over these. The fella there claimed the next HO batch will very likely show up in N too! Mmmm, racky goodness.

Agree on the ICE units. Thought the blue was too dark. Really nice looking models though.

I asked Intermountain to release one road number per year, instead of four at once. I doubt they will follow my suggestion, damn it.

If those Atlas containers are coming in 3-packs instead of 2-packs then the price is much more reasonable.   On the other hand, it's a bit inconvenient if you want to fully populate a 5-unit double stack.

The raised porch on the UP SD40-2 is prototypical on some of their engines. I'm impressed that they modeled it.

I've wanted a logging truck model for a while- that Trainworx unit looks great. 

Were any of the Atlas containers out of packages?  I'm interested in how they are dealing with the door hardware.

And it's not as if people didn't tell them about this - often....   And get a response!

For me the wonky handrails are a show stopper,  although I reserve judgement until seen close-up.
