What about one of these larger style doghouses?


I can't tell if these were just used on 16 wheel tenders or the 12 wheel tenders (210F).

I'm actually trying to find out more about PRR tenders and I'm not having an easy go at it.

Looks like the Q2 had a 180F tender but had 16 wheels. I would think the larger 210F tender would have to have more wheels.
EDIT: just crunched some numbers and found the 210F tender was 10 to 20 feet shorter than the T1 and Q2 16 wheel tenders. The tender name formula refers to water capacity, Freight or Passenger, and deck height, right?

while I know no 2 locomotives have the same dimensions for their boiler
but is there some way to print the outer layer of a belpaire to be used in
making other non PRR steam more prototypical?

I am thinking that the length would be available on PRR locomotive
diagrams.

just wishing there was an easier way to convert other steam to a PRR
look.

Chris Broughton has been successful adding a cast Belpaire to other round boilers.

I'll put both in the  KD Queue.

I am in for the doghouse as well!
was going to suggest that but my research got interrupted
with other stuff and have not been able to ascertain if PRR
had a standard size or if each locomotive's tender was
different by class.

definitely want doghouses!

I was actually just talking to my dad about this.

He's trying to turn an MDC/Athearn Old Timer 2-8-0 into a Pennsy H3. The Belpair is the first step.

Think about this- the trick is the boiler diamteter and shoulder width.

Also I am finding out that feathered edges are impossible to print.
