PRR (and other) design suggestions for Keystone Details

It might be obvious to many with many of my recent posts in Product Discussions that I love to model in CAD.   :D :D

I would like to use this thread to capture N Scale design ideas for RP detail parts from folks here.

I will prioritize PRR items, but will entertain anything from any road from the steam era.

Note that I do not wish to compete with any other designers here, so I would appreciate integrity an I would prefer unique requests to those already requested to others.

I will also consider up scaling any design I do to HO, etc.

There are a few preferred conditions, but none are deal breakers, except one. I WILL NOT compile any research, it must be provided via PM first to exchange email addresses.

* Please include some initial info, pic link, document, etc.

* Drawings, drawings drawings (preferably with dimensions). Note that without dimensioned drawings, one can only expect a reasonable proportioned model and compromized prototype fidelity.

* Measurements, with photo references

* In lieu of drawings or measurements, I would need excellent photographic reference, with information that I can use to do any proportional modeling.

* Relatively simple parts to avoid excessive modeling time and complexity

I will be willing to prioritize something over my own projects, if a reasonable case can be provided, such as an urgent need for an article to complete, etc.

I will announce any completed designs here, and on Facebook.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Let 'er rip...

I think DKS did some PRR bumper posts in Z.  Would like those in N.

@Dave Vollmer and @Bob Bufkin , I have amended my original post to request an initial photo or link to the initial request, so I can make sure I understand it.  Thanks in advance!

Oh, snap!

If that tool shed works, I think we need to start talking about interlocking towers.  Not the one-offs, but the real standard looking wood ones like JACKS, LEWIS, and PORT.

Looks like I may be a regular customer at Shapeways.  I'll need to update my wish list.  I just placed my first order last night to take advantage of the free shipping.  My order was just a small sampling of items including a couple of K4 sand domes to see this stuff firsthand.

I'm guessing by the number of items being released that Lemosteam is getting a positive response to his offerings..
Keep it up, I'm looking forward to seeing more PRR stuff.

WOW. Maximum. Hotness. Thanks @Lemosteam!

SPF's I hope your buying this stuff, not wishing any bad will on anyone, but using NZT as an example, you need to buy now if at all interested, because you never know and it may never be available again. Again, thanks and much success.

Since this is the official suggestion thread, I mentioned this in another thread, and I don't have dimensions or drawings, but how about the brackets for the FM DD1 containers.

Never argue with idiots; they'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

I'm in for a tool shed (or two) plus some dwarf signals, that's for sure.  I've been thinking of doing LEWIS tower in Shapeways if only I could get around to finding the time to learn 3-D drawing, so you better believe I'm in for that too, should it come to fruition.

Thanks guys- just keep the ideas coming.

@Dave Vollmer if you have or know where I can get some basic dimensions of the towers you are mentioning, I can go from there.  There will be a lot of testing on the tool shed kit before it goes public.  I am trying to design out of some of the rapid prototyping striation shortcomings to allow one to sand parts in a flat plane before assembly.  The window frames will be an etching. as will the hoods for the dwarf signal.  I am still working out a kit strategy for the signal...

I'll have to look...  You might have to extrapolate from known dimensions (doors).

@Ed Kapuscinski , Been dreaming of how I could model these in CAD for years.  I just cannot come up with a solution in N Scale that is printable, and would be durable enough.  they almost need to be die molded in Delrin...  As you know I need them for my berm wall on the LIRR IS...
