I'd like to see them do one of those people mover trains that Spectre always had in their secret underground lair...

It also states "Our first scale train..." which implies this will be an actual train, not just a car or loco; like the Pioneer Zephyr.

By definition, a single locomotive running on a main line is a train, so let's not read too deeply into this one.

Technically: "engine or engines, with or without cars, with markers displayed"

I'm not going to really speculate on what these guys will have to offer. Just as long as they provide nice models that run good and are DCC-ready, I'm all set. Bonus points for factory-installed DCC and sound.

I got an email from Shane at Scale Trains after I inquired about their product line. His answer was probably too vague to satisfy most but here it is "...we're currently focused-on HO and N scale locomotives, rolling stock, and vehicles". There you have it :P

There's a remarkable coincidence , that's what I am focused on also !

Yeah, how did that happen???

Hmm... a fluctuation

The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

You all are wrong. Their first N-scale steam locomotive will be a GWR 'City' class. Then they'll announce the correct GWR 4 and 6 wheel coaches.

I'm hoping for something modern and western, like the AC6000CW.

CSX owns the biggest fleet of true AC6000's

That would really be something but I think a startup company will need something that will be less of a gamble and appeal to modellers of many railroads.
CSX, UP and what others had 6000? I'd buy a UP and maybe a demo.

Maybe something Athearn makes in HO and is sorely, sorely needed in N - a SDP40.

Shane was a huge proponent of N when he worked for Horizon/Athearn. He is a very nice guy and loves his field. Can't wait to see what he cooked up.
