Dear Atlas,

I would like to suggest that you consider making a model of the Baldwin AS-616 in N scale.

This is one of the largest number of locomotive built that isn't availible in N scale: 82 DRS 6-6-1500 and 214 AS-616 (plus an additional 8 b units). Most of the major railroads had them on their roster: B&LE, C&O, C&NW, Erie, Pennsy, Soo, SP, and UP. Other railroads included: Chicago Milwaukee St. Paul & Pacific, Duluth South Shore & Atlantic, EJ&E, Houston Belt & Terminal, Kaiser Steel, National de Mexico, Trona, and the Union Railroad (to name a few). Later in life, they were sold to a variety of other railroads and shortlines: Oregon and Northwestern, Mc Cloud, Calif Western, SMS, and they are still running on several roads.

With the exception of the truck side frames, the RSD-4/5 mech scales out just fine. Of course, molds for the shell, truck frames, and fuel tank will have to be built, but this is still less than building a new locomotive from scratch.

I would be willing to provide any information that I can, including photographs of Southern Pacific, Oregon and Northwestern, and Trona. Also, two O&NW units still survive at the Portola Railroad Museum where I could obtain any additional information direct from the source.

Well if we're looking at stuff Bowser already does in HO, I'll take a DS 4-4-1000 (late). 

I'm wondering if Shane is someone I talked to at the Rocky Mountain Toy Train Show the last two times Athearn had someone there.  If so I know I went heavy on how out of date and incorrect the Atlas Gp30 is.

One can only hope it sunk in.

Erie had AS16's and DRS6-6-1500's. A little late for me, but I'd buy em'.

Not getting your point, Bryan.  Jeff provides a list of major roads and then lists other roads, in which the Milwaukee is included.  A literal reading makes the Milwaukee an other and not a major.  As a Milwaukee fan I bristle...

Maybe he like many still consider the Milwaukee a granger road just like the Northern Pacific was considered to be by many?

They are rolling in on their Facebook page.  UP Turbines, UP water tender excursion set, Evans Boxcar, Trinity 31K Crude Tankcars, but all HO so far as I can tell

And that's all there will be at this show.  N scale won't happen until they get the samples in.

One thing that is standing out is 'Our Price'.  Will this be direct only?
